On the morning of December 5th, 2015, Kelly Slater changed the surfing world. Again. Around 6:30 AM that same morning, 100 miles away from any ocean, a perfect right peeled down the line. At 7:00 AM, Kelly caught the first wave at The Surf Ranch, a wave more than 10 years in the making.

That wave, created by the Kelly Slater Wave Company, is the ideal wave: complete with perfect barrels, various sections and beautiful faces. Today, The Surf Ranch is a venue for various WSL events, as well as the catalyst for multitudes of other wave pools that have begun peeling, wedging and breaking all around the world.
