Originally commissioned by a Brazilian bank for its Christmas marketing campaign, Bressane’s images of the aging populations in Brazil evolved into the acclaimed exhibit “The Wrinkles of Time” -- a photo collection offering an authentic and disturbing view into the lives of octogenarians suffering from mental illness. Famed photographer and cinematographer Bill Carlson calls these photographs “a clear departure from the ordinary. Bressane’s eye for capturing the unseen is reminiscent of the noted work of Richard Avedon from late in his career.”
