Acerca del libro
The city is transformed when darkness falls and the lights come on. It is one of my most favourite times to walk the streets, with camera in hand, especially if a good fog has rolled into town. The city at dusk can present scenes of lively nightlife, excitement, even dreamy romance if you look for it. It can also suggest a sense of mystery, fear, suspense or disbelief. At night, the city takes off one mask in exchange for another. In this series of candid street photography I wanted to present to you an element of surprise, dark humour with a nod towards the macabre. Moody black and white pictures, contrasty compositions of soul-stirring things that go bump in the urban night. Whether you’re walking amongst many in evening crowds, or find yourself alone on a dark street, be afraid.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
