Andrew Miles spent the first eighteen years of his life in the small, rural town of Kershaw, South Carolina. Attending Andrew Jackson Middle and High School, he began exploring the levels of creativity and individuality that has allowed him to blossom into the man he is today. Andrew’s immediate family has deep-seeded roots in Kershaw and the surrounding rural areas of the Carolinas and Georgia. The skills and passion he has for food began to soar during his years spent at Winthrop University, studying music performance, claiming his independence, and working alongside the catering company on campus. After receiving his bachelor’s degree, Andrew made the life-changing move to the Midwestern state of Minnesota in search of opportunity. After four years, a longing for home began to arise along with a need to dig deeper into his roots of the South. This is Andrew’s first self-published book where he has researched, written, translated, interpreted, and photographed all recipes included.
