In 2019 we celebrated 50 years of our beloved and iconic Wendy’s brand. We trace our roots back to our founder Dave Thomas, who at the age of eight hoped he would one day run the best restaurant in the world. Through hard work and dedication, Dave achieved his dream and so much more. Yet he couldn’t have done it without support from our Wendy’s franchisees, Company employees, restaurant teams and suppliers. Dave’s legacy is the foundation on which Wendy’s is built, but our story doesn’t end with Dave. To celebrate our brand’s milestone anniversary, we asked the Wendy’s family to share their stories about our food, restaurants, people, and our unique culture and heritage.
