I have sailed across outstretched seas and mighty oceans, survived many a gruelling storm, then settled down in some little out-of-the-way haven to savour those quiet times. I love my homeland best, Australia, with its many changing faces and unexpected pleasures. From roaring coastlines to a vast interior.
