It is always a great satisfaction when a new volume of the Bestselected book takes shape and comes alive. Thanks to the artistic contribution of the photographers who have joined the monthly selection of the Bestselected project for three years, the Bestselected book tries to take stock of the technical and artistic development of photography in the contemporary age. The Bestselected project draws attention to several noteworthy and interesting artistic researches that belong to the different sensitivity of many living photographers by a twelve-month selection of authors and works of art.
This third volume, which is the lunar year 2019, proposes to show in its pages a multi-genre representation of what photography actually is. The photographers introduced belong to specific and different genres; such as portraits, landscapes, photo features, nudes, experimental photography and street photography. In this Bestselected book and in the previous ones, it is possible to find the various possibilities offered through the art of photography, which are connected together in a natural and harmonious way.
The Bestselected book project started in 2017 and now arrived the third volume has been released, with a collection of approximately 300 photos, which depict honest and free expressions of what photography evolved into today. Our goal is to continue this operation of supervision and cataloguing on paper, that could help to better understand contemporary photography and to leave a tangible trace of it for the future.
