Initially inspired by the rusty and boxy cars of Turkey this project made me take stock of the number of car images I had collected through my travels. While cars were always something I had been interested in I in no way set out to document the different shapes, sizes and homes of these metal beacons of freedom.

The name Panda Sanctuary comes from a drive through the Alps Region of Italy and getting way too excited by the old FIAT Panda's seemingly littered through the hills.
